FLAC Coaching Program

  • Frankston Little Athletics Centre is committed to the education of all its athletes and we provide free coaching at the Ballam Park Athletics Track. We employ accredited coaches to supervise our coaching program, however we always require more volunteer coaches to help make this program a success. We also hold introductory coaching courses, which can lead on to formal coaching qualifications, for more information on these courses contact our coaching co-ordinator. Course fees can be reimbursed through the Centre, and all we require is your dedication to providing quality coaching and assistance for our young athletes, and a minimum of 12 months commitment to being a coaching assistant.
  • Coaching is held on Wednesdays between 4.45pm to 6.00 pm, commencing in October for 8-10 weeks. The sessions are provided free of charge. Only registered Frankston Little Athletics athletes may attend. Please wear a Centre top to coaching for identification purposes.
  • Please note that parents are required to remain at Ballam Park for the duration of the coaching session.
  • Please check the FLAC notice board in the pavilion for any coaching updates.
  • Ballam Park also hosts several professional coaches who can provide further specialised coaching if required. These coaches are not part of the Little Athletics organisation and charge fees for their services. If your child is coached by a professional coach please check that they are a current member of the Australian Track and Field Coaches association and that they hold accreditation for the events they are coaching and are adequately insured.
  • LAVic does not provide insurance cover when being coached professionally.
