State Cross Country
What a fantastic effort from all of our athletes at State Cross Country today, competing on another challenging course on a cold winters day in very tricky, slippery and windy conditions. The team spirit was very high, encouraging and motivating - it's great to see and makes for a memorable event. FLAC could not be prouder of its athletes and families.
Congratulations as always to all of our podium finishers. All of the results are available on the LAVic website
Thank you to all of the parents who performed duty. FLAC was fortunate enough to run the BBQ which allowed us to earn money for our Centre - a bonus for all of our kids.
A special thank you to Darryl Gibbs, Michael Vollmer and Andrew Wells for their help with pack-up, it was greatly appreciated.
Again, well done to all of our athletes and we look forward to seeing you all at Ballam Park next week for Program 1.
FLAC v SLAC XC Challenge Results
The results you have all been waiting for...
But first I would like to thank all of the Seaford Little Athletics athletes (and there was A LOT) who turned up to compete at Ballam Park on Saturday. You turned up in big numbers and it's great to see you out there representing your Centre. We always enjoying comepting with and against the SLACers, it's a very healthy rivalry that we all enjoy and it helps to bring out the best in our running.
Well done to all of the FLAC athletes that turned up and ran, you all put in a great effort. Winning the Frankston v Seaford XC Challenge was always going to be a hard task, especially going in to the second round behind on points.
But... YOU DID IT!! FLAC managed to narrowly get across the line and retain the trophy! The final result after both rounds was FLAC with 354 points and Seaford with 331 points. Well done to all of our athletes who ran, you have all done your Centre proud.
We look forward to the XC Challenge series with Seaford next season, but until then, we have the bragging rights :-)

Looking for blue shorts for SMR? FLAC is selling its current stock of blue shorts for $10 each. They are available in the pavillion on Saturdays.
Blue shorts will remain part of the FLAC uniform for another 12 months while we complete the transition to black shorts.
