Parent Helpers
Parental participation is essential for any Little Athletics Centre to run successfully. Each week about 60 parent volunteers are required to run the centre and programs. Without your assistance, it is impossible for the Centre to run efficiently.
Parent Duty Options
There are an assortment of parent duties that need to be filled every week, including:

Set up (7am arrival required in order to set up all the equipment required for competition day) – generally an hour & a half will be required - 4 x helpers required each week

Pack up (like set-up but you are actually packing away all the equipment at the end of the day’s competition) - 4 x helpers required each week

Canteen (you are required to be in the canteen and serve customers) - 4 x helpers required each week

BBQ (you are required to be at the BBQ area and either serve customers or cook food as required) - 4 x helpers required each week

Age group assistants for field events. Your duties may include raking the sand pit after each child has jumped, measuring, retrieving an implement, (Javelin, Shot Put or Discus), etc.

Front & Back Straight Timers (training provided) ensure timing starts with each track event and scan in athletes barcodes

Front & Back Straight Assistants - tags and athlete marshalling

Front & Back Straight Starters (training provided) conduct official starting of all track events
